Amazon were pretty shocking with how long it took to deliver but it finally arrived – my brand new Amazon Kindle 3G. My mum very kindly bought me the cover with the light which whilst expensive, works really well. The overall package is great. The Kindle is really easy to use and it lets you hold an entire library of books. The screen is fascinating – it is still clear in bright light and at weird angles (not that you would want to hold it at weird angles to read). The amount of free books available is just staggering too – pretty much all the classics. I like the idea that on full price books, a larger percentage of the revenue goes to the author too thanks to the cost savings of digital delivery. I am going to have to start reading more books – I am starting with The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.
