Pandy is a popular South East Wales paragliding spot. It was way too windy for that on this day though. We drove up and parked in a field used by fellow paragliders and hiked up the ridge. This is part of the national trail Offa’s Dyke Path. It follows the border between England and Wales and going North heads past Llanthony and Longtown before getting to Hay on Wye. It was warm, but windy and it looked like bad weather was headed our way so we turned back. We did not make it to Hay, but could see Hay Bluff. The ridge offers amazing views of rural Herefordshire and is full of sheep and wild horses.
