This has been a bad year for flying. Weather windows have been few and far between and the chances of my schedule and those colliding has been slim. Currency is such a key part of feeling comfortable whilst flying. Add into that new gear and it has been a challenging year. The new gear feels great – but it is also different. Familiarity with your kit is important, and its been a struggle getting enough time to achieve this.
Having said that, there have been some nice flights and I am more excited than ever for more. Hopefully after a poor spring and summer, we can get some nice crisp autumn and winter flying days.
