It has been so wet in the last weeks that any opportunity to get outside has to be made the most of. Up high it would be too cold to rain, so worst case would be some hail or snow. Within 5 minutes of getting there a hail started. Luckily it only lasted for ten minutes before the sun came out.
We headed up Twmpa and along the ridge before turning left to Grwyne Fawr Reservoir. With the sun shining and the dusting of snow the hills looked great. The gully down towards the reservoir offered welcome shelter from the strong wind. Wrapping up in appropriate attire kept us comfortable and able to enjoy the views.
